Yesterday the Blue Jays turned down another offer for Roy Halladay from the World Champion Phillies. It would be wise for Toronto to keep Halladay - he is the best pitcher in baseball. If the Blue Jays trade him, they basically don't care about winnng for the next 5 years. Toronto would be in danger of becoming the next Oakland A's - a team so frugal they don't care about winning.
If the Jays can get 2-3 top quality prospects then trading Halladay would be a great call. You have to remember that they are playing in the same division as the Yanks and Sox...big money spenders. Toronto will not be able to compete year in and year out like they would in other divisions or the National League. Anti-Cat
