NFL Mock Draft 2009

Every mock draft I have seen is the same! And every year they are all wrong. So why not go against the consensus.

The Real Mock Draft:

Jason Smith – Lions
Aaron Curry - Rams
Eugene Monroe – Chiefs
M. Stafford – Seahawks
BJ Raji – Browns
M. Crabtree - Bengals
Andre Smith - Raiders
Mark Sanchez - Jaguars
Tyson Jackson - Packers
Brian Orakpo – 49ers

After the first 10 picks, I expect a lot of trades, so no use in going further.

The Lions would be stupid to draft Stafford. They need to build that team from the inside out, starting with linemen and defense, not taking a shot at a QB. Stafford reminds me a lot of Heath Shuler, remember him?

The best player in the draft, my opinion? Brian Orakpo. I'm a huge Niners fan and I really hopes Orakpo drops to SF with the 10th pick. He's the only player in the draft who could really pressure the quarterback.

Wrong or right, I fricken love the NFL Draft.

CHICAGO BULLS WILL SEND THE CELTICS HOME

Currently, this series is 1-0 Bulls. The oddmakers still have the Celtics as 2-1 favorites to win this series! Are you crazy?! Chicago proved in Game One they can play with Boston. Kevin Garnett out for the Celtics is HUGE! Chicago can drive to the hoop any time they want. Witness Derrick Rose lighting up the Celts for 35+ points in Game One.

After tonight's game, the next two games are in Chicago. How in the world can the Bulls be 2-1 underdogs in this series?! I'm making a large wager right now on the Bulls +170 to win the series. (I also like the Bulls +8 in tonight's game).

The Bulls have a super chance to win this series! This is not the same Boston team that won it all last year. Times, they are a changin! Bet the Bulls!

UNC over Michigan State

Pounded North Carolina last night over Michigan State. Easy money! I should have written a blog post about UNC before gametime; after the fact bets are about as good as remembering a chick's name after she's already left.

Anyway, big money winner last night.

Baseball started yesterday, sweet! Team to bet on: the Mets. The Mets Over/Under win total was just 88.5. Too low. I expect the Mets, with their much imporved bullpen, to win 100 games. Team to bet against: the Padres. They will lose 100 games! Jake Peavy won't finish the season a Padre (he'll either be traded or injured)
