NBA Playoffs - No Basketball!

It has become torture watching most NBA Playoff games. No wonder college basketball is preferred by just about every sports fan. There were 38 fouls committed in the recent Cavaliers/Hawks game. 38 fouls in 48 minutes. Just about a foul a minute. That is just no fun man! There were also 36 free throws taken. 36 free-throws in 48 minutes. Boring!!!

The NBA has got to do something about this or they risk losing fans. I, for one, am losing interest fast, and I am a die-hard sports fan. Every time LeBron goes to the hole, he is automatically fouled. It's complete bullshit. I want to watch the best basketball player in the world play basketball, not shoot free throws. Let me watch LeBron James' skills!

Worst of all, most of the fouls are done intentionally. Do the refs ever call an intentional foul? Hell no. I watched Paul Pierce put both arms around Rashard Lewis the other day and practically tackle him so he would shoot a game-tying 3-pointer with eight seconds to go. Was there an intention foul called? Nope. I want to watch the drama of a game-tying three point attempt! Not a bear-hug and then free throws! I watched Rajon Rondo smack Brad Miller in the face last week. Anything repercussions? No. Just the fat lip Brad Miller endured.

NBA referees: Wake the fuck up! Call a damn intentional foul!! David Stern, do something about this! If a team commits an intentional foul, the other team shoots free throws and gets the ball back. Calling intentional fouls will stop teams from fouling so often. This will force teams to play basketball, play defense, better offense, etc. Do you know how rare inside shots and dunks have become? If a player gets inside nowadays, he is fouled almost all the time. The Lakers shot 36 free throws in their last game against the Rockets. 52 combined free throws in that game, in 48 minutes. The game was a forty point blowout! Why so many stupid fouls?! Watching 52 free throw attempts in a 48-minute game where one team is leading by forty points is absolutely no fun to watch. Furthermore, there were 43 fouls in that game. 43 fouls and 52 free throw attempts!!! That's what you get now in an NBA Playoff game.
Message to Commissioner David Stern: PLEASE PLEASE bring back some athletic, competitive basketball.
